Help Is On the Way – Part 4: Our Message Has Muscle
The message of Jesus is not weak, watered down, or worn out. It has muscle. And at Pentecost, that message exploded through the mouth of a man who had once been full of fear.
Peter had every reason to shrink back. He had denied Jesus three times. He had failed when it mattered most. But something changed when the Holy Spirit filled him. He stood up, raised his voice, and preached a message that cut straight to the heart.
Why? Because the Holy Spirit gives us muscle.
When Peter spoke, he didn’t hold back. He declared the truth boldly: “You crucified him. God raised him. We are witnesses. He is Lord and Messiah.” It was a muscular message—truthful, powerful, and unashamed. It wasn’t polished, but it was full of fire.
The Spirit didn’t just give Peter words; He gave him courage. He gave him authority. He gave him a supernatural strength to proclaim Jesus in a way that demanded a response.
That same Spirit is available to us.
We often feel weak, inadequate, or unsure. But God is not looking for perfect vessels. He’s looking for surrendered ones. When we open our mouths in faith, the Spirit fills them with power. When we step out in obedience, He gives us the strength to carry the message.
There’s a reason the church grew from 120 to 3,000 in a day. It wasn’t clever strategy or slick programming. It was the raw power of the gospel, preached by someone who had been transformed by grace.
Friends, the message hasn’t changed—and it still has muscle.
We are called to carry this message into a weary world. A world that doesn’t need more opinions but desperately needs the truth of Jesus. The cross still speaks. The resurrection still has power. And the Spirit still gives strength.
So, how are your spiritual muscles? Are you operating in your own strength, or are you relying on the Spirit’s power? Are you flexing the gospel in boldness, or holding it back in fear?
Help is on the way. And it comes with breath, boldness, and the supernatural muscle of God’s Spirit.
Let’s rise up and speak with power. The world needs to hear, and we’ve got something worth shouting about.
