Forgiveness as a Daily Practice
“Forgive us our debts.”
Jesus assumes something important here: we will need forgiveness regularly.
Life is full of small frictions and big wounds. Impatience. Harsh words. Resentment. Thoughtlessness. Some days it’s minor. Other days it cuts deep.
The Lord’s Prayer invites daily reflection. Not to shame us, but to free us. Forgiveness restores relationship—with God and with others.
Confession clears the clutter. It allows us to offload what we were never meant to carry. Grace resets the soul.
Forgiveness isn’t denial. It’s release.
When forgiveness becomes foundational, humility grows and bitterness loses its grip.
