Faith is a word we use often, but how often do we stop and ask ourselves what it truly means to follow Jesus with our whole lives? In Luke 2, Jesus was pushed to the margins physically. Today, many believers unintentionally push Him to the margins spiritually.

Paul wrote in Romans 1:16, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel…” Yet many Christians are bold on Sundays and silent on Mondays. Confident in worship, but cautious in the workplace. Passionate in church, but passive in daily life.

So, is there room for Jesus in your faith?

This question goes beyond what we believe in our minds. Even the demons believe God exists — and they tremble (James 2:19). True faith is more than belief. It is surrender. It is obedience. It is living boldly and publicly for Christ, not just privately or occasionally.

Faith is meant to be visible. Jesus said we are the light of the world. Lights shine. Lights guide. Lights stand out. Faith can never be reduced to a quiet inner thought or a personal feeling. It is the public, daily expression of belonging to Jesus.

Think of the people around you — work colleagues, neighbours, family members, even strangers. Many will never pick up a Bible, but they are reading something far more accessible: you.
Your life may be the only glimpse of Jesus they ever see.

So what are they seeing? Patience or anger? Integrity or compromise? Compassion or indifference? Humility or pride? Confidence in Christ or fear of people?

These questions are not meant to condemn but to awaken. Jesus does not shame us — He invites us to grow.

To make room for Jesus in your faith:

  1. Live consistently.
Let your faith shape your choices, not just your Sunday routine.
  2. Live courageously.
Refuse to be ashamed of the Gospel. It is the power of God for salvation.
  3. Live publicly.
Not arrogantly or obnoxiously — but visibly. Let people know that you belong to Jesus.
  4. Live expectantly.
When you step out in faith, God steps in with power.

The early believers did not have polished sermons or Christian merchandise. They had faith — raw, bold, uncompromising faith — and God used it to turn the world upside down.

You are called to the same. Jesus is not looking for half-hearted fans; He is raising wholehearted followers. And the world desperately needs Christians who are not ashamed of Christ.

So today, choose to make room for Him in your faith. Let Him shape the way you think, speak, act, and love. Let Him be the foundation, the centre, and the goal of your everyday life.

Faith is not meant to be hidden. It is meant to shine.
