Destiny – Becoming Who God Created You To Be

Jeremiah 1:5 says, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you… I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.” God has a destiny for every life, and Joseph’s story is a powerful picture of that truth.

Destiny is not about human effort, self-help, or achieving worldly success. It is about becoming all that God wants you to be and doing what He has ordained you to do. Joseph ended up saving thousands of lives during the famine, not because of ambition but because he allowed God to lead him step by step.

Your trials may be preparing you for the task God is calling you to. That’s why faithfulness in the small things matters. God uses every experience—good and bad—to shape you for your destiny.

Jeremiah 29:11 reminds us that God’s plans are to prosper us and give us hope and a future. He promises to reveal His plans to those who seek Him (Jeremiah 31:3).

To walk in your destiny, you must:

  • Seek God persistently.
  • Be led by the Holy Spirit (Romans 8).
  • Be obedient to His guidance daily.

Pray: “Lord, make me the person I am born to become. Change me to be all You intended.” When you live with that prayer, you will find yourself at the right place at the right time, doing the right thing—just like Joseph.
