Your Life is a Temple – Clear It Out

Passage: 1 Corinthians 6:19, Mark 11:17

The temple in Jerusalem was meant to be holy ground—a space where heaven and earth meet. But in Jesus’ day, it had become a marketplace. A noisy, chaotic space driven by profit and performance.

So Jesus cleansed it.

But now, in the New Testament, there is no physical temple. Instead, you are the temple. Your body, your life, is where God dwells (1 Cor 6:19). So the question is: What’s going on inside your temple?

Is it full of prayer, worship, and purpose? Or is it cluttered with distractions, compromise, and noise?

Jesus wants to cleanse your temple—not to shame you, but to create space. Space for His presence. Space for purpose. Space for peace.

Maybe your “temple” is full of:

  • Bitterness
  • Fear
  • Habitual sin
  • Religious performance
  • Busyness and noise

Jesus is ready to flip some tables. To drive some things out. To reclaim His space.

But you’ve got to let Him in.

True transformation starts inside. Before we confront the world, we must invite Jesus to confront us. To convict us, challenge us, and lovingly restore us.

Only then can we become “porta-temples”—carriers of His presence, bringing light to dark places, bringing prayer to our workplaces, bringing truth to the margins.

You are called to live with strategic madness—not just for yourself, but for those around you. You have the good news. You have access to those outside the Church. You are sent.

So today, let Jesus clear out your heart—and then follow Him into the world. Take your madness, and make it meaningful. Let passion meet purpose. Let your life be a house of prayer again.
