You Must Become Revival

Many are praying for revival. We gather in church meetings, sing revival songs, and cry out for God to move in our cities, our nation, and our world. But what if the revival we’re longing for isn’t something we merely witness, but something we become?

Ezekiel 37 reminds us that before there was a mighty army, there was a valley full of dry bones. Each bone had to be touched by the breath of God. Revival wasn’t a mass event at first — it was a personal encounter for every single bone. Every piece had to respond. Every fragment had to shake and submit to the life-giving wind of the Spirit.

This is the heart of true revival. It’s not just about a church full of noise or an altar full of weeping, although those things may come. Revival is when you, yes, you, become a carrier of the fire. It’s when you walk into your home, your job, your community, and you bring the atmosphere of heaven with you. Revival must first be personal before it becomes public.

God is not simply looking for another Sunday gathering. He is raising up an army, not of spectators but of Spirit-filled soldiers. And like an army is made up of individual soldiers, like a wall is made of individual stones, so too is the body of Christ only as alive as the individuals within it. If you are alive, on fire, full of the Spirit, then the Church is alive. But if we wait for someone else to carry the fire, we’ll keep waiting.

It’s time to stop waiting and start becoming.

You don’t need to be famous. You don’t need a microphone. You don’t need a platform. All you need is a willingness to let the wind of God blow through your soul. Let Him set you ablaze again. Let Him stir up those gifts that have been lying dormant. Let Him revive your prayer life, your love for the Word, your burden for souls. You become revival when you refuse to stay dry.

We all have areas in our lives where the fire has gone out — relationships, ministries, dreams, peace, passion. But today, the Holy Spirit is calling us back to life. He’s not asking you to fake it till you make it — He’s asking you to surrender, to allow Him to breathe into those dead places.

When every bone catches fire, revival breaks out. When every believer carries the glory, the church becomes a force hell cannot stop. When revival lives in you, it follows you. You won’t have to chase a move of God, you’ll become the move of God.

So, stop looking for revival to come from somewhere else. You are the revival. You are the fire starter. You are the spark God wants to use. And when the fire of personal revival burns in every heart, an army rises.**
