Many believers assume that evangelism is reserved for a select few, but the truth is, we are all called to share our faith. While some are gifted evangelists, every Christian has a role in making Jesus known.
Evangelism isn’t about grand speeches or preaching on street corners. It happens in everyday moments—on lunch breaks, during car rides, in casual conversations with friends and family. The key is being sensitive to the Holy Spirit’s leading, knowing when to speak and when to listen.
Practical Evangelism Tips:
Share your personal story. People relate to experiences more than arguments.
Listen well. Evangelism isn’t just talking; it’s understanding where people are in their journey.
Be wise and kind. Approach conversations with grace, not forcefulness.
Trust the Holy Spirit. He knows the right time and place for Gospel conversations.
One of the greatest freedoms we have as Christians is the ability to share our faith. A few years ago, the Evangelical Alliance released a guide called Speak Up to remind believers in the UK that they do have the legal freedom to evangelise. We must not let fear or misunderstanding hold us back.
