Living from a Place of Increased Returns
God’s desire is for us to live in a place of increasing returns. Paul states in 2 Corinthians 9:6 that whoever sows generously will also reap generously. This truth isn’t just about avoiding lack—it’s about stepping into overflow.
Sometimes, we think we’re doing well financially and don’t see a need to change. But what if God is calling us to go higher? Imagine financial growth like the earth’s atmosphere. Many of us operate in the lower layers, where things feel comfortable. But God invites us to rise from the troposphere to the exosphere, to new heights of blessing and impact.
Consider the success stories of Christian business leaders like Gary and Catherine Grant, founders of The Entertainer, or the team behind Chick-fil-A. These individuals understood the principle of generosity. They sowed faithfully, and God multiplied their efforts. Their wealth wasn’t just for personal gain; it was for kingdom impact.
Some of us have been gifted with the ability to generate wealth, but we hold back from sowing at the level we could. What if we let go and trusted God? What if our giving moved from stratospheric to exospheric? When we embrace generosity, we open ourselves to God’s unlimited provision.
The challenge for us today is to level up our giving. If our resources are increasing but our generosity remains stagnant, we need to ask: are we truly living in faith? God calls us to be generous so that we can experience exponential returns in every area of our lives.
