Are You Called to Be Apostolic?
Many Christians believe that the apostolic gift is reserved for church leaders or missionaries. However, Scripture suggests that all believers are sent into the world to represent Christ (John 20:21). The Greek word “apostello,” meaning “sent,” applies to all of us in some way. This means that whether you work in a corporate office, run a business, or serve in ministry, you are called to be apostolic in your own sphere of influence.
Apostolic people are visionaries, problem-solvers, and strategists. They have a gift for identifying opportunities and bringing people and resources together to achieve a greater purpose. If you find yourself passionate about pioneering, reforming, and innovating, then you likely carry an apostolic gifting.
At work, this might mean leading a new project, improving company culture, or creating innovative solutions. In the Church, it could mean helping to plant new ministries, mentor emerging leaders, or bring fresh vision to existing structures. The key is to recognise your gifting and use it for God’s purposes.
